Tasty Tuesday - Jockamos Pizza

No one wants to cook every night, do they? I hope not, because I sure don't! So Tasty Tuesday this week is a restaurant recommendation... A really awesome, locally owned little place called Jockamo Upper Crust Pizza. (And if you're not in Indy, all I can say is, sorry, you're really missing out.)

For take-out, delivery, or dining in, we love Jockamo's. They have lots of fun specialty pizzas... some favorites of ours are the "Caliente", and the "Slaughterhouse Five" (five different meats). But, we've also just had plain ole sausage and mushroom, and that's mighty tasty too.

What makes this pizza place stand apart? The crust. Yum. It's the perfect happy place for thin and thick lovers alike. Not too crunchy for the thick lover, not to thick for the thin lover. And the house special, creamy Parmesan dipping sauce (for my crust), is a must.

I'd compare the atmosphere to a Bazbeaux, or a similar pizza joint... they serve beer and wine, and are just about as busy on a Friday night. It's located on Washington Street, in Irvington. ...and maybe you're not on the East side, but it's pretty centrally located, easy to get to from 465, and definitely worth the trip.
