I want to compliment you on your blog … you’ll always make it very entertaining … and offer just a few rare suggestions for spelling corrections ;). By the way, over the last several months I’ve thought that your spelling has been excellent. And I really liked your turkey & cake story this week.

In the case of your turkey story you ran into a little issue with 3 words that were real words a spell checker wouldn’t notice … but unfortunately they were all just a little wrong in their context. Your title “win some, loose some” … should be “win some, lose some” ;). I also noted in your story that you made desert instead of dessert (your Mom said that it’s okay because you come from a long line of dirt cookers) and finally the angel food cake you baked turned into an angle food cake.

These are the first little errors I’ve even noticed on your site! Keep up the good work! You have a great blog!

I thought this was so funny that I'm not even going to fix it. In fact, considering my reputation for spelling errors, this is pretty good. Now I have to tell you about being dirt cookers. A few years ago while I was in college, Shane (my brother) came home one day to find my mom cooking a big pan of dirt in the oven. When he described the situation to me he was very concerned, and feared that our mother was loosing her mind. She felt like it was quite rational actually... and explained that her flower beds had some type of pest and she was trying to sterilize the soil to get rid of the intruder. Unfortunately, after baking a load or two, she realized that sterilizing the entire back yard was probably going to take her the rest of her life, and scrapped the plan.
