Lily turned two months old on Tuesday, and Wednesday was my first day back to work. Back to work was a lot harder on me than on her. She's a lucky girl because she gets to stay with her Grandma who loves her to pieces and takes really good care of her- but that didn't change the fact that I was away from my baby girl for longer than ever before. The day went well and everyone survived. We're really in the best situation possible right now because I'm only going to work one day a week. Everyone said that I would enjoy going back to work because it's adult time and I would get to have some "me" time. Maybe I'm all turned around, but I mostly just felt a little lost all day... and kept finding myself talking out loud to no one, and describing what I was doing as if she was there with me.
Back to Work
I'm pretty sure when she's two and never sits still I'll be very happy I made the decision to go back to work, and I'll find that "me" time to be my saving grace. I also know it's important for me to get back in the workforce and get my license, because if I don't get it now, I never will. And, as entertaining as I am, it will also be really good for her to spend some time around someone other than me. But, for right now, one day a week is plenty of apart time for me!

I saw your momma at the grocery on Tuesday! I think she has the best end of that deal. :) Hope you're doing well! We still need to get together!
