We had a relaxing, but very short Memorial Day weekend. It was so nice to finally be home and not be at work! My most recent project (a new middle school for South Madison Community School Corporation) has been wrapping up for the last month and goes out for public bid tomorrow, so the past month has 12-14 hour days and no rest for the weary. But we finally finished it on Friday afternoon! Now we'll see how the bids come in, and start building it! I can't wait to get to watch the building grow, and see all my ideas come to life. The project is scheduled to take 24 months to complete, but don't worry- I'll keep you updated.
We had a nice time hanging out with family and friends this weekend- cookouts and gatherings with people we don't see nearly enough. My cousin Ryan graduated from High School (salutatorian!) and we visited his graduation party - Congratulations Ryan!
And our biggest event of the weekend is the new Jeep we bought! We traded in Justin's truck for a more family (and gas) friendly vehicle- a 2007 Jeep Patriot. (I'll post a picture soon.) It was bittersweet, we are super excited about the Jeep, but it was tough letting go of the truck. One more thing checked off the list of things to do before Lily gets here!
