it was a Happy anniversary, all things considered...

Last Wednesday Justin and I celebrated our third anniversary with Bug at Community North Hospital. We just had such a great birthing experience there, that we felt like how better to celebrate three awesome years of marriage than hanging out with the on-call pediatric unit until 2am?

In all seriousness, we had a bit of a rough week last week. Many of you know the circumstances, but on top of all the heartache of a very dear friend's tragic loss, our baby girl ran a high fever for about three days and scared the daylights out of us.

She's seems to be doing much better now- she had a bit of a rash after the fever was gone, and that's just about completely gone too. We spent just about every day last week visiting a doctor, and got quite comfortable napping in whatever location was convenient.

We did have big plans last weekend for a romantic getaway, which was quickly nipped in the bud. But we did manage to slip away for an afternoon over the weekend and have lunch together, which was lovely. So, all things considered, it was a pretty good anniversary. We have a healthy baby girl, which is more than we could ever ask for.

I understand the scare! Carter ran a high fever Friday and Saturday and had us quite worried. His pediatrician said there has been a viral infection she has seen in quite a few babies recently with cold like symptoms and a high fever. Glad to hear she is doing better!
