Back in the Saddle Again

Last Sunday, my father-in-law, Tim, took Justin, FamousLindsay, and I horseback riding. Justin and FamousLindsay are of course, practiced riders. But, I've only been on a horse once or twice.

First, let me say it was somuchfun. Second, did I mention I've only been on a horse a couple of times in my life?

When I said I'd like to ride, I meant like a little pony ride around the backyard. But off we went, traipsing across the countryside - for more than an hour! I was sore until Wednesday (man, I'm out of shape). First I had to get a little lesson on how to maneuver in the riding pen (reference picture; and me being scared to death by a trot) and then we did things that I never expected to do - for example, I nearly lost it going up my first hill. And just about got bounced right off my first time galloping. By the end though, I started to get the hang of it and I'm ready to do it again!
