Our Schedule

I feel good and secure and happy when I have a schedule. BabyBug likes her routine too. It makes for a much happier Bug. And a happier Bug makes for a happier Mommy, and a happier Mommy makes for a happier Daddy. So routines make us all happy. For the first three months our routine went great, and it looked like this:

7:00am Awake! Eat
8:30 Nap to 10:00
10:00am Eat
11:30 Nap to 1:00
1:00pm Eat
2:30 Nap to 4:00
4:00pm Eat
5:30 Nap to 7:00
7:00pm Eat
7:30 Bath, Books, Bed
(10:00pm Dreamfeed)
(4:00am Dreamfeed)

Then Christmas happened, and our routine got all thrown off. In the meantime, BabyBug got older and wiser and decided a three hour routine would no longer work for her. So for all of the fourth month we tried to find our routine, but just couldn’t figure it out. I Googled and searched for examples of other people’s schedules, I mean routines (apparently "routine" is more P.C.), for her age, but I couldn’t find any good info to help me! So finally, after many tears from all parties involved, and after making everyone who had any contact with Bug write down every thing she did for two weeks, we found a pattern and now we have a routine again. And our five month routine looks like this:

7:00am Awake! Eat
8:30am Nap
10:30am Eat
12:30 Nap
2:30pm Eat
4:30pm Catnap
5:30pm Eat
6:00pm Cereal
7:00pm Bath, Books, Bed
(8:30pm Dreamfeed)
(11:00pm Dreamfeed)

And we’re all happy again. For now.

So, what I’m looking for is does anyone out there have a routine? It sure would be nice to have some examples for when we turn six months old and this whole routine flies out the window. And then seven, eight, nine…

I would love to have a 3 hour feeding rouine...I feel like I am in survival mode right now though. It's pretty much a Carter schedule, whatever time that might be. When were you able to start a routine with Lily? My email is jlandersonfl@hotmail.com
