Progress...

This morning, I woke up with ankles! Who knows what that means… but these days I’m taking everything as a sign.

Yesterday we had another weekly Dr’s appointment. Very exciting stuff here... Lily’s heartbeat was strong and good, and I’m 3cm dilated and 50% effaced! May not mean a thing, but it’s definitely progress! I’ve been having a few mild, sporadic contractions and feeling very crampy lately, but other than that no signs of labor.

As far as Lily goes, she seems to be a busy little girl. She’s moving around all the time and seems to get the hiccups about once a day, which is pretty entertaining for me – although can get quite distracting when I’m in a meeting at work. I think she’s gotten lower too… I’ve had lots of comments to the effect of “you’ve really dropped,” but I also feel like I can breathe a little better and I feel her movements a lot lower.

Even if she doesn’t come until on or after her due date, she’ll be here in just a few weeks!
