We made it to 37 weeks, so if I go into labor now they won't be stopping me! We had a Dr's appointment on Tuesday and everything looks good; Lily is head down! and I'm about 2cm dilated, not effaced at all. The Dr. said this was a good sign though for a "first baby" - and at that appointment I was 36 weeks so maybe we'll get lucky and she'll come early! She said they'll have a better idea of weather to expect her early after our appointment next Monday, when she'll have something to compare.
I'm still working and we're staying busy, although, it's hard to concentrate on anything except for the fact that we're going to be parents very very soon. Justin said it hit him pretty hard when we found out that I was already 2cm dilated that she's going to be here before you know it. My plan is to work up to August 31st, and start my maternity leave then. I still feel pretty good, I'm sleeping pretty well, and not having any major issues besides seriously swollen ankles - which while extremely unattractive are not particularly worrisome for my doctor. My blood pressure is around 100/60 every time so apparently that means swollen ankles are just my way of dealing with baby and not a health concern.
Other fun news I have found is the connection between full moons and babies being born... according to some not-so-scientific studies I have heard that it seems the labor and delivery rooms are full of women in labor around the full moon each month. It just so happens that the next full moon is August 28th... I'm being optimistic here, but wouldn't that be wonderful!
