We had a fabulous fourth of July with family this year. We had a cookout with Justin's parents at our house for lunch, and a cookout with my parents at their house for dinner. Of course, we couldn't miss the Indy fireworks and it did stop raining, so we went downtown and saw the show. We took the dogs with us and they were very well behaved but scared out of their minds. I don't think we'll take them again, but they sure were cute.
Justin has been working hard on finishing a new sink for the hall bathroom, so he spent some time on that while I baked. I have been a baking machine these past few weeks. I'm so in to it that in two weeks I've baked two loaves of chocolate chip banana bread (I was going to freeze one loaf, but Justin downed them both in a matter of days), one loaf of pumpkin bread, and two loaves of blueberry-lemon bread, and then on Wednesday I made Carmel Blondie's. Plans for this weekend are two more loaves of chocolate-chip banana bread and two more loaves of pumpkin bread - and I'm going to freeze at least half of those! I've been trying lots of good recipes, so I'll have to post them on here soon to share.
Happy 4th!
