More Fun About Being Pregnant
New Clothes!
I don't understand these people who hate maternity clothes. There are so many reasons to enjoy this aspect of pregnancy! For one thing, there are tons of super cute ones these days, and who can hate elastic waist bands? And I highly recommend maternity panty hose, even for those not expecting... finally, someone created hose that don't roll down! Genius. I've never been so comfortable (in terms of my clothes) in my life!
And of course, being my first pregnancy, I have the perfect excuse to go shopping and buy new clothes. My body is changing every day, so there is always something I need. And every outfit is a new one. This is the greatest thing ever, I should have gotten pregnant years ago just for the clothes. (Seriously, just kidding, I'm not that crazy.) But honestly, I love maternity clothes. Don't ask me next week, my answer might change, but for now I'm digging the clothes.
You Can Just Call Me Grace
I made the giant mistake of wearing a white shirt to work today. You would think, that after the past five months of being covered in my own food, I would have figured out that it’s not a smart move on my part. Wrong. Silly me, thought that I could handle the white shirt today, and here it is, only 9am and I’m already dotted in spots of coffee, makeup, and pen.
I can understand the growing belly issues and getting that area dirty. And it makes some sense to me that I’m a little clumsier because my center of balance is changing. This is a fairly new part of my body, and I sometimes underestimate it’s size, so bumping into things and dropping things on my new “appendage” seem somewhat understandable. What I have a hard time understanding is how I can sit here, take a sip of (de-caff) coffee out of my cup, and manage to drip coffee down the entire left side of my face and onto my arm. How exactly does being pregnant cause me to loose the ability to drink out of a cup? I have a lot of trouble believing that BabyBug could be a root cause of this. I mean, I’ve been drinking from a cup for 25 years, you’d think I’d have it down by now. So, if it’s not baby, then why am I suddenly covered in food and drink every time I have a meal?
I guess I just have another reason for more clothes!
